PRE-RACE OPPORTUNITIES
Packet Pick Up: Monday-Friday of Race Week (March 27 - 31)
Help our runners get prepared for race day! You’ll be handing out a race bib and t-shirt to each runner and help make sure they leave with all of our handouts for race day. You’ll need a smile on your face and a great attitude. Leave the runners feeling excited to come back on April 1st to cross the finish line!
Night Before Set-Up: Friday, March 31
Help us move equipment from Gregory Gym to the Main Mall the night before the event. Use your strength to help set up tents and carry post-race supplies to the Main Mall. Wear gym clothes and comfortable shoes, and expect some heavy lifting.
RACE DATE OPPORTUNITIES (APRIL 1, 2023)
Banana Alley Food Distribution & Strike
Reward the finishers after they cross the line. Assist by passing out food and drinks to the runners after they finish the race. Direct the runners towards the Main Mall for the post-race celebration and be prepared to answer the runners’ questions. Monitor and empty trash cans as needed. Vocal, energetic individuals with strong communication skills are preferred.
Banana Alley Set-Up
Direct vendors to appropriate unloading destinations in Banana Alley. Assist with unloading and set-up of vendor items. Some heavy lifting may be required.
Course Set-Up
It starts with you! Work along the race course by setting up all directional signs, barricades, and banners for the race course. During the race, you’ll monitor trash and pick up along the race course. Empty and tie‐up bags when needed and place them next to trash cans. A can-do attitude and some heavy lifting may be required.
Course Strike
Break down the race course by collecting all directional signs, barricades, and banners. During the race, you’ll monitor trash and pick up along the race course. Empty and tie‐up bags when needed and place them next to trash cans. A can-do attitude and some heavy lifting may be required.
Course Support (i.e. Course Marshal)
Outgoing and proactive course guides wanted! Decipher the course map and direct runners through turns and intersections along the course. Communicate the 5K/10K race course split to runners so they keep on the appropriate path. Assist with keeping local traffic off of the race course at all times. Must be vocal, assertive, and enthusiastic. This position requires a virtual video training, to be completed on your own time, during the week prior to race day.
Finish Line Set-Up
Set up the finish line chute area and zip tie banners to the racecourse barricades. Assemble tents and tables, along with any other finish line set-up tasks. Some heavy lifting may be required.

Volunteer Check-In
You’re the first stop for our volunteers on race day morning and responsible for getting them where they need to go. You will identify each volunteer as they arrive, check them in, and distribute volunteer t-shirts. Direct them to where they need to go based on what they’ve signed up for. After all the volunteers have checked in for the day, you’re responsible for collapsing the volunteer tents and moving them back into storage.
